When you're in the market for a new car, there are four important words to keep in mind: Check with Metro first! You'll be pleasantly surprised to find that our auto loan rates aren't just competitive, they're market leading.

At Metro Credit Union we understand credit scores and financial histories vary. That’s why we offer a range of car loan options to help you purchase that dream car, regardless of your credit history.

Our personal bankers provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan application process and can offer additional guidance during the vehicle buying process. From providing you with information for negotiating the best deal with the seller to the best auto loan rates and terms to meet your specific needs, we are here to support you every step of the way!

Loan Options:

  • Dealer purchase – Once you have test driven a new or used vehicle at a dealership and you're ready to buy, check with Metro first for a great rate. Our personal bankers are here to help you through the process, providing insights on annual percentage rates, loan terms, and more.
  • Private party purchase – In addition to financing vehicles purchased at dealerships, we finance vehicles purchased through private sellers. Buying a car from a private party involves a few extra details. We're here to help.
  • Lease buyout – When it's time to purchase your leased vehicle, make Metro your first stop when securing financing to buy the vehicle from the leasing company.
  • Auto refinancing - Save money each month by exploring options to lower your interest rate, monthly payment, or both by moving your current auto loan to Metro.

Vehicle Protection Plans

We also offer mechanical breakdown protection (MBP) and guaranteed asset protection (GAP) plans. Each of our three MBP extended warranty plans offer full bumper-to-bumper coverage with a small deductible to help you deal with unexpected mechanical issues that may arise. In addition, we offer GAP coverage that helps cover the gap between what you owe on your loan and what the vehicle is worth. Before purchasing either of these protection plans, check with Metro first as members often find that our rates are better than what they may find elsewhere.
